Doctor with several qualifications and licenses (internal medicine, rheumatology, physiotherapy, occupational health and obesitology, lipidology, hypertonology license). Health economist, head of department titular university professor, Doctor of Military Sciences, Deputy Chief Hospital Commander of the Ministry of the Interior (2021). Chief Medical Officer (1999-2005 Central Hospital and Institutions of the Ministry of the Interior, 2006-2011 Pest County Flór Ferenc Hospital, Szent Imre University Teaching Hospital Szent Imre Central Hospital Dél-Buda from 2011). He is the head of the University Department of Obesitology initiated by him, which is an outsourced department of the University of Pécs and is unique in Europe. He is the editor of the first Hungarian university textbook on Obesitology.
He is also the founder and head of the National Obesity Center of SZIOK, as well as the founder and president of the Hungarian Society of Obesity and Movement Therapy. He is also the founder and leader of the National Obesitological Network and is responsible for the development of the conditions for the training of obesitologists in Hungary.
Member of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. President of the Professional College of Internal Medicine, Diabetology, Endocrinology, and Metabolic Diseases. Member of the board of trustees of the National Foundation for Health and Medical Education. Co-founder and chairman of the editorial board of the journal Cardiometabolica Hungarica (2007). He is a member of the professional advisory board of the Lege Artis Medicinae journal. Founder of the "Thanks to the Heroes" – Saint Crown Award. Founder of the "Healthy Life" MOMOT award. He is also a member of the Association of Business and Scientific Societies, the Hungarian Society of Hypertension and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Club.
Several domestically published books, book chapters, peer-reviewed domestic and foreign-language journal articles, peer-reviewed lectures in international conference publications and numerous professional publications are to his credit.
State and other recognitions and awards: ministerial chief adviser title, ministerial sword, BM Award for Service to Science, OKF dísztőr, HŐR dísztőr, Ministerial Recognition for Outstanding Professional Work (7 times), HŐR Sword, Ministerial Gold Ring, Lajos Markusovszky Award, Pro Medicina Újbuda, Metabolism Award, the Commemorative Plaque of the '56 Association for the outstanding cooperation, the Memorial Plaque of the Freedom Fighters Public Foundation also for outstanding cooperation.
In addition, he is a holder of the gold medal of Order of Merit for Public Service, the Order of Saint László, the Officer's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit and the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic.
He has been a member of Richter's Supervisory Board since 2012.
