Uterine Fibroids (UF) affect 20 to 40% of women of reproductive age. In Europe this translates to more than 14 million women with symptomatic UF which has a significant negative impact on women’s lives.

Surgery may be a curative treatment for uterine fibroids, but this may not be a suitable option for all patients, therefore an alternative medical treatment for fibroids is important.
